'Scattered Light'

Delicate, subtle, and beautiful. A really interesting play on the fusion of art and modern technology.

Feeling inspired

This exhibit is absolutely amazing, wish I could have been there:

Michel Gondry - Science of Sleep Installation from Theo Watson on Vimeo.

and the rest of Theo Watson's work is great, interactive exhibits are always my favorite. All time favorite = Allan Kaprow at MOCA two years ago. Let's bring back happenings.

and just for fun:

yumminess.

Crystal Castles - Empathy from Jef Deng on Vimeo.

Hidden treasures

The adorable JFK Jr. and chic momma O at one of my favorite places near my old apartment.

Lovely drawings, and I'm still obsessed with the Miu Miu spring prints (especially the cat shoes). Luckily I will soon be in possession of an almost as cute knock-off cat print dress from Zara:

I'm also on the hunt for a high-rise, vintage looking bikini, comme ça:

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood

I saw some lovely paintings at the Louvre today.

He is such a cutie, especially his shoes.

Monkey painter? Monkey antiquarian? Monkeys in coats? I died of cuteness today.

and deez sexy hoz:

"Come 'n git it"

"I've been naughty..."

"Thanks, do you have a cig?"

I have to brag a little more: these guys got accepted for the permanent collection of The AUP Fine Arts Gallery, so sad to give them up though.

Vernissage 29 April @ the gallery in Combes. go!

Un mélange

Currently loving:

Diego Bernal's "For Corners". Download it.

A painting I did yesterday:

I finally obtained a camera about a year after my old one got murdered at the beach in Santa Barbara, but the memory card doesn't fit in my card reader. So for now I'll make due with photobooth/cell phone until I buy a new one. And on another note, I am officially moving to New York in the fall :) Definitely ready for a change and I anticipate falling in love with this one.

Home is where I want to be

I don't normally go for things this cutesy, but I can't deny such cuteness! They're lovely little prints to have around the house and I'd love to get my hands on a couple for my L.A. bedroom.

Le Bonheur

“Happiness is like a butterfly: the more you chase it, the more it will elude you, but if you turn your attention to other things, it will come and sit softly on your shoulder…”
